Environmental Policies

Promoting environmental awareness among employees: Through implemented standards and internal training programs, efforts are made to increase environmental awareness among employees.

Compliance with environmental legislation: Environmental laws in Türkiye are closely followed, and all operations are carried out in compliance with these regulations.

Compliance with national and international standards: In line with the ISO 14001 certification obtained in 2000, an environmental management system has been established and is actively implemented.

Supporting the Responsible Care principles: The Responsible Care initiative, a voluntary global program of the chemical industry focusing on safety, occupational health, and environmental protection, has been adopted by Setaş and is supported across all departments.

Supporting energy-saving practices: Improvements in production processes ensure reduced energy and resource consumption. In addition, employees are encouraged to contribute individually to energy-saving practices, from paper usage to electricity consumption.

Waste Management: Setaş ensures the proper disposal of waste generated from its production through its own treatment facility as well as the treatment services of the Organized Industrial Zone in which it operates.

Supporting organic textiles: As a part of the textile production chain, Setaş fulfills its responsibilities in line with globally applied GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) requirements and provides GOTS compliance certification for its products by meeting the necessary conditions.

Development of products compliant with Oeko-Tex standards in textiles: In accordance with Oeko-Tex standards, which impose restrictions on substances used in textile products to ensure ecological compliance, Setaş avoids the use of restricted raw materials and ensures that all limits are respected in its products.
